Yesterday, at 805 Delaware Ave.

On Tuesday, December 11, here are some of the things that happened at Temple Beth Zion in our 805 Delaware Ave. historic location:

We hosted a meeting of the Racial Equity Roundtable of the Community Foundation of Greater Buffalo.
Mayor Byron Brown, Superintendent Kriner Cash from the Buffalo Board of Ed, NYS Senator Jacobs’ Chief of Staff, NYS Assembly Person Peoples-Stokes’ Chief of Staff, Richard Lipsitz of the AFL-CIO, Bishop Franklin of the Episcopal Diocese, Clotilde Dedecker, President and CEO of the CFGB, representatives from the County Executive’s office and Senator Tim Kennedy’s Office, and other dignitaries worked on Racial Equity issues and had breakfast in the Rabbi Fink Social Hall.

We honored the memory of Amy M. Zeckhauser z’l and comforted her family in the wake of her loss. Hundreds joined Amy’s immediate family for her funeral in our sanctuary.

Our Religious School met and learned with Judy Henn, TBZ’s Clergy Associate, who teaches our regular Tuesday session downtown.

Meanwhile we hosted Amiel Bakehilah - an Israel program at the Border Center in Amherst and welcomed the teacher from that program into our Board Meeting at Border as well.

All in a Tuesday at TBZ!
